God’s Thinking of You! #Favor ~

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation (Ps 91:14-16)~ Curious child of God? Wondering if this is what God thinks when He considers you?

Yes! And then some!!! When God puts His favor on you, whatever happens, nothing shall hurt you; No weapon formed against you shall prosper– though troubles and afflictions may come. They shall come, not for your hurt, but for your good, though at the time it seems more hurtful than helpful. Those who rightly know God, will set their love upon Him. They by prayer and faith constantly call upon Him. His promise is, that He will in due time deliver us out of trouble, and in the mean time we will be with Him while in trouble. The Lord will manage all our worldly concerns, and preserve our life on earth, so long as it shall be good for us.

He will bless the fruits we bear. He will bless the seeds we sow. He will bless our comings and goings. Friend, God will cause your enemies to come at you in one direction but flee from you in seven directions, because greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world. That’s just a portion of how God will bless you – in Jesus name!

Favor!

Relax – Relate – Release ~ #SelfCare ~

“It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep” (Psalm 127:2).

The prevailing culture of this world tells us men our jobs should be our utmost priority—physical care is good, but must be disregarded when and if it interferes with workplace ascent. “Get it done.” “Do whatever it takes.” “Man up.” To these codes we sacrifice our physical selves, and especially our sleep. We stay late at the office; work late at home; live in hotels, on airplanes. But, this is not what our Father God intends!

God blesses his sons with (and in) sleep. It’s a time to restore and heal; to relinquish worry and stress; to, quite literally, leave everything to Him. We should appreciate it fully, be thankful for it, accept it wholeheartedly. We’ve all felt the results when we don’t: racing hearts; pounding heads; clouded thoughts; a lack of productivity, creativity, patience; a compromised resistance to sin. We are never the spouses, parents, friends, bosses, employees we must be, when we sacrifice sleep.

God indeed created something wonderful when He created you. The human body is one of the most advanced objects of His creation – it is the carrier of a God-sustained life and a Spirit destined for eternity. Nothing we say or do can change His purpose for the body, but taking care of it or neglecting it determines the experience we have while we are in it! Be good to yourself – Get Some Rest!! – RESET – you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps 139:14) and your body and your life matters!

Self Care – Rest – Reset

Right NOW It IS Done! #Faith ~

NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb 11:1)~ NOW faith doesn’t walk by what things look like but what it believes in. NOW faith doesn’t have to wait until it happens it believes it’s already done. NOW Faith doesn’t wait to see it to rejoice, it rejoices because it expects to see it. NOW faith believes in the things that are not yet as though they already are. NOW faith walks not like what it is going through, but what God is taking it to. NOW Faith doesn’t promise to praise God and show up in His presence after the blessing, but it shows up and praises God in advance for the blessing that God has already sent forth! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so! Is your faith NOW or a promise? Are you bold enough to praise God NOW or are you gonna wait for Him to bless you? Faith must be ACTIVE – You’ve got to do something in it. It doesn’t mean just have faith and wait on God. Your blessing is waiting on you to MOVE!

Right Now!

A #Broken Situation Is How God Brings Forth Greatness! ~

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? (Isa 43:19) ~ Too many times, God is working in our lives, showing us favor, enriching us, changing us, protecting us, sending us healing, but we don’t recognize and therefore don’t experience His goodness because we are focused on what we were, what we see, feel or have gone through in the past. We brand ourselves, other people and situations by what we or they were and don’t allow ourselves to see the glory of God’s work in us and them. God is in our midst, but we are so wrapped up in ourselves that we don’t get to know Him! God is giving us blessings throughout our lives, but we are so distraught on the old that we can’t see the new! God’s goodness is on display. The question is do you see it?

Don’t Let Your Elevation Cost Your Salvation – #GodDidIt –

https://youtube.com/shorts/-IY654oSGW0?feature=share

And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God (Deut 8:17-20)~~ There’s an old adage that people “forget where they came from”; in reference to a person that seems to progress in some way only to seemingly separate themselves from the people, the environment and everything else they were around prior to their progression. While it is positive to “grow” as you progress in life – especially when that growth is to something better, it’s extremely important to remember your benefactors, especially God who created the skills and talents that you used to get to where you are.

When we prosper in business, skill and possession, we find the temptation to pride, forgetfulness of God, and carnal-mindedness – very strong. We set our minds and ways to an attitude of self-sufficiency and self-reliance. We become so focused on our elevation that we forget the One that provides salvation. We are so consumed in OURselves and OUR achievements and OUR things – we actually end up being in worse shape than when we were … in worse shape! In our poorer times, we actually had the advantage; we more easily perceived our supplies coming from the Lord in answer to the prayer of faith; and, strange as it may seem, we found less difficulty in simply trusting Him for our daily bread.

Pride is natural to the human heart. But would one suppose that we, after our own history of trials, should need the thorns of a wilderness to humble us? None of us live a single week without giving proofs of our weakness, folly, and depravity. Here is the great secret of Divine Providence. All God’s gifts are in pursuance of his promises. He resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. The consequences of forsaking and resisting God are indeed perilous! Forget not God’s former dealings with you as the trials you faced in former times were to do you good! In everything we must give thanks, guarding against the temptations of a prosperous condition. Don’t get so used to looking down from your high hill that you forget how to look up in reverence!

Humble Yourselves!

Children! It’s Time to #GrowUp –

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things (1 Cor 13:11)~ As children we say we hate people who are different than us or disagree with us or don’t like what we like. As adults we are supposed to be mature enough to respect that people can be different. As children we called people out of their name if they were ‘different’ than us just to get a supporting reaction from those around us who might just agree with us but didn’t come up with it before we did; and if we are different and people don’t like us, we assume they have a problem just because they don’t like how we are different. As adults we are supposed to be mature enough to respect a person’s views, way of life or beliefs as who they are and not seek to tarnish them for it.

As children, we formulated an opinion of someone and developed a like or dislike based on what our ‘friends’ said about them or a rumor that was going around about them. As adults we are supposed to be mature enough to not judge a book by its cover; to get to know a person for ourselves before we just “not like” them because of what some hater said about them. As children we heard what another person said but shared our own versions of it among ourselves and created our own truths. As adults we are supposed to be mature enough to not subscribe to rumors and rhetoric, but take a person for their word and decide what is true based on real tangible facts, not social media responses, fabricated and modified opinions and twisted context.

AS CHILDREN we think it’s okay to just say whatever we want at any level of disrespect, no matter how it comes out and hide behind the guise of things like free speech. As adults, we are supposed to be MATURE enough to keep our speech tactful and respectful toward each other, even if we disagree with each other. As children, we look at freedom as the release from restraint and rules to do whatever we want. As adults, we SHOULD BE MATURE enough to embrace our freedoms with self control and exercise of moral obligation, with genuine regard to the respect of God and others, not act like some recently uncaged untameable creature running rampant not knowing which unregulated feature to experiment with first!

So we continually ask ourselves why are things so crazy these days…well, now it’s obvious – we’re all a bunch of IMMATURE CHILDREN who don’t know how to treat each other, won’t talk to each other and can’t respect the differences between us. In fact, contrarily, we PROMOTE our childish behavior in everything from reality TV to the nightly news to social media! We’re more concerned about the ‘likes’, hashtags and retweets we get than the quality and integrity of our actions! We praise and even pay lucratively the person who has the most outlandish way of expression and we make it our mission to bring down anyone who opposes our views! We create rules that allow us the freedoms to retain our ugliness toward each other.

We fight so hard to be that ‘inner child’ that these days even our own children don’t know how to respect us! We refuse to act like men and women, so much so that the children are now telling US what to do! When we grew up we had ‘older folk’ that acted like adults and became leaders and role models and their philosophies were based on sound principles and doctrines of truth and divinity. We are in such a place today that our ‘doctrines’ are philosophies that say “Sometimes to make things right you have to do the wrong thing!” –

Whatever happened to “two wrongs don’t make a right!”??? It’s really a fearful thing when we are more concerned about everyone being ‘happy’, even if what we do to get there is the wrong thing. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”. So, “grown folk”, we have to ask ourselves, are we teaching our children the maturities they need to have or are we just letting them be who they are…children…while hoping they’ll grow into it on their own one day? Are we being the adults we want our children to be? Yes experience builds character, but what kinds of experiences are we CREATING for them in our own actions and ways? Grown ups, it’s time that WE …GROW UP and act like MEN and WOMEN!!!

Come On Kids! Grow Up!

Why Should We Be Thankful? – #Thanksgiving2022 –

O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy (Ps 107:1-2)~~ As we focus on what we’re thankful for this week, let us not forget to be thankful that God is all about our good. We should be thankful that where people may have wrath on us and prefer our suffering and demise, HIS will upon us is mercy for our good. Be thankful that in His grace, the rules toward our infractions are pre-empted… He holds back what we deserve. Be thankful that rather than imposing the consequences of what we do, in His MERCY renders us righteous. Let us be thankful that when we are being ridiculous and only concerned about ourselves, focused on what we have, what we do and what we want.. even when we are turning our back to Him and committing our atrocities, His grace and mercy ENDURES our iniquities; yet “while” we were sinners, Christ died for us. Let us be thankful because although we are all “prodigal sons”, God allows to return to Him regardless of our state of affairs when we left or how long it’s been since we left or how we are when we come back. ..yes, His mercy endures FOREVER. Be thankful that It’s never too late to call upon Him! We are all redeemed in Him and by Him!

As we celebrate Thanksgiving today and are in a mindset of gratitude, let us remain mindful of God’s grace and His desire for our good…and for that, He is worthy of and due our praise! As you reflect on why you should be thankful, remember that you are God’s treasure, fearfully and wonderfully made and He adores you! Now! Let us Give Thanks to the Lord for He is good and HIS mercy ENDURES FOREVER.

Happy Thanksgiving!

O Give #Thanks Unto the Lord! –

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Ths 5:18)~~ God has given us reasons time and time again to give Him thanks, and this is what we must do. We are living in a time of great anxiety, but He has offered us a way out of anxiety. We may know His loving care. There is no one so good, so high, so holy, and so merciful as God.

We are thankful that He has invited us to bring our petitions and our requests to Him. Who else can we go to for wisdom, or for hope, or for guidance? We are thankful for peace that proceeds from His forgiveness, the wholeness that comes from His restorative touch. We are thankful for His creating a world He called “good.” We thank Him that despite the evil that has entered the world and still wages war in our own souls, His goodness is undiminished.

We thank Him that we have seen honor that is bolder than shame…mercy that is wider than cruelty…truth that is straighter than deception…faith that is stronger than treachery…hope that is deeper than desperation. We thank Him for the ordinary things: the bread we receive, the breath by which we live. And we thank Him for the extraordinary things: the strength we didn’t know was possible, and the discovery of truths we didn’t know. We thank Him for the immeasurable grace shown to us in the coming of Jesus Christ, the hope of the world. Be thankful today for each other and the blessings you have…

In all things today, give thanks In His Name. Happy Thanksgiving!

#Haters Gonna Hate! Rise Above Them…

And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them (Gen 50:20-21); Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good (Rom 12:14-21)~~

Don’t worry about how people treat you or respond to you… as long as you have the affirmation of God in your life, nothing else anyone else thinks or says matters… Nothing else can stop you, nothing can separate you from His care nor remove you from his hand! No weapon formed against you shall prosper! We must be careful how we respond to people, even those that hurt us. Even as your enemy is your footstool, you don’t need to trample on them! You might have within your desire, power and ability to retaliate, but your blessing will be tied to your willingness to forgive and to respond in kind.

We must treat others, even those that hurt us, as we “want” others to treat us, not as they “have” treated us… and keep moving on. You are not blessed until you are able to look at those who did you wrong, and declare in your spirit that to retaliate you become like them, you come down to where they are; but because God is in you, you’re forgiving them not for them, but for yourself. In relieving them of your wrath, you remove that detriment from yourself. And what they meant for evil against you, God will use for your good. If they hate you because of your promotion…imagine what they will think when you are the owner… if they dislike you for the good things in your life.. imagine how it will be when there are great things in your life! Regardless of why they might hate, don’t anchor your life and sanity down by carrying the burden of worrying about it. God is your great provider, carrier and protector. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me (Ps 118:6-7).

Don’t Be A Hater!

It Starts With A #Thought ~

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Cor 10:4-6). Your thought life can be brought into submission – You can win at warfare when you realize that it all starts in the mind and when you overcome that attack on your mind, when you stop worrying, and start praising – when you stop thinking about the troubles, the people, the lies, the stresses – those things that come against you trying to kill you in your mind, steal your joy and destroy your hope.

You can literally change who you are by changing what you allow into your mind and what you allow to control the thoughts of your mind – whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK on these things (Phil 4:8) and be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Rom 12:2). When your mind and focus are on the Lord and the victory He has already given you – when you subdue those battles of the mind with the already finished work of our Father – You will not sweat the small stuff! He keeps in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on Him; because they trust in Him (Isa 26:3). May the peace of the Lord keep you and keep your mind at peace!

Think Victoriously!
