God Sees You. He Knows All About It #Omniscient-

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good (Prov 15:3)~ What can we hide from God’s sight? David could not hide his thoughts, dreams, or even his unspoken words (Ps 139:1-6). Where can we hide from God’s sight? David could not hide in heaven, hell, the farthest parts of the sea, or in darkness (Ps 139:7-12). God is everywhere to see everything. God fully knows even the thoughts and intents of our hearts. There is nothing of our lives that we can hide from Him. His eyes see and hate all of our hypocrisies, sins, and evil thoughts. Though we may excuse our sins to others or influence them by other means, we cannot so affect God. All our ways are naked and opened to His all-seeing eyes. Though we may have secret sins that others do not know, He knows each one fully. Men have lied to themselves that God does not see (Job 22:13-14; Ps 10:11). The devil is a lie! Don’t be deceived! But the GOOD news is… God also sees our good works. He does not miss a single prayer we make in secret (Matt 6:6). A poor widow sneaking her two mites into the treasury was fully known to God (Luke 21:1-4). Every good thing you have done will be remembered in the great Day of Judgment, even those you forget (Eccl 12:14; II Cor 5:10; Matt 25:31-40; Heb 6:10)! God sees every person, all eight plus billion of them. Though very great, He humbles Himself to behold His children on earth (Ps 113:4-9). Though perfectly holy, He sees a man’s entire life and heart to overlook all faults (II Chr15:17; I Kgs 15:3-5). God sees all you do for your spouse and children and family. He knows of your good deeds and the intent of your heart in well doing to others! Comfort yourself at the end of a long day that our Heavenly Father sees and cares. He knows and avenges any trouble that others cause you. He sees all your afflictions, so comfort yourself in distress. He bottles your tears and writes them in His book (Ps 56:8; Mal 2:15). He hears you talk about Him with others, and He writes your name down for it (Mal 3:16). Not a sparrow can fall without His providential care, and you are of more value than many sparrows. God sees and knows all about you so believe that He will keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him; because you trust in Him!

Remembering Our Friends – #MemorialDay –

Today we thank and remember those who gave their lives because of their love for their country, the freedoms we enjoy and our rights to certain ways of life. But, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. (John 15:13-14); For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. (Luke 9:24); I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. (Gal 2:20)~ My friend, here is how much Jesus loves you. ..that He thought you were to die for. He saw you as a friend and laid down His life for you. Are you a friend of God? Are you willing to give up ‘your life’ for Him? Is it more important to live how YOU want or to allow the life of Christ to live in you? He gave His life for yours. Do you love Him that much?

The Lord… He Is… #GodIs

And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed (Deut 31:8)~ Things around you may seem so out of hand. You may not know what your next step is going to be! God may even seem distant to you! Your mind is full of thoughts asking “Why, Lord?”. And there seems to be little circumstances that even mock you for believing in God… challenging you and almost asking you “Where is your God now?”. But the devil is a liar! Don’t fall for the trickery! Those carnal and evil weapons of confusion, unbelief and fear, they are hot coals that will burn you the longer you hold on to them. DROP IT!!! They were formed against you and cannot prosper unless you hold onto them and let them consume you! The truth is: God IS!!! Though you can’t always trace Him, you CAN always trust Him. Don’t worry about the things you see…but remember what you have already overcome; God would not bring you this far through so many things to forget you. The Lord, He IS: Always present in our lives; He IS: Over all things; He IS the one who goes before us; He IS the fixer of every situation and trial and He IS the One who never forsakes the righteous in Him. Friend, be strong and of Good courage, God IS wherever, whenever and whatever you need Him to be … In fact, He’s not only with you; He’s GOT you!

#Believe and Rest – In Him! –

come rest

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His (Heb 4:9-10)~~ God has always declared man’s rest to be in Him, and His love to be the only real happiness of the soul; and faith in His promises, through His Son, to be the only way of entering that rest. There is, in Him, a more spiritual and excellent rest remaining than that of the seventh day. This rest is, a rest of grace, and comfort, and holiness, in the gospel state. The rest, is undoubtedly the heavenly rest, which remains to the people of God, and is opposed to a state of labor and trouble in this world. It is the rest they shall obtain when the Lord Jesus shall appear from Heaven. As God finished His work, and then rested from it, so He will cause those who believe, to finish their work, and then to enjoy their rest. But those who do not believe, shall never enter into this spiritual rest, either of grace here or glory hereafter. (Read that again… those who don’t believe shall never have rest! – No God = No Peace!) True Sabbath..that holy rest, the kind that empties us of our works and fills us with the blessings of God’s completed works, depends on complete confidence and trust….rooted in a deep conviction that God is good and God is sovereign. There’s no rest for those who don’t believe that. If God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called to His purposes (Rom 8:28), you can relax. If He doesn’t, you had better start worrying. If God can pick any mess, any mishap, any wastage, any wreckage, any evil meant toward you, any anything, and choreograph beauty and meaning from it (Gen 50:20) then you can rest in Him! If He can’t, you had better get busy. Either God’s always at work, watching the city, building the house, or you need to try harder. Either God is good and in control, or it all depends on you. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matt 11:28).

Hurry Up and … #Wait on the Lord! –

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31)~~ Our heavenly Father knows there is a value in our learning to wait on Him, so He allows us to be placed in situations where we have no choice but to wait. I remember the days when we had to wait for dinner to be ready. My grandmother would start cooking early in the afternoon. She made everything from scratch, and it took time to chop, cook, simmer and serve. She was a fabulous cook, so the end result was fantastic. We can’t match the result of that effort today. We may try to duplicate it by popping food in the microwave or substituting one ingredient for another. We think we’ll arrive at the same end—but we don’t. Hurrying the process by taking shortcuts just doesn’t produce the same result. Some things just simply take time.  Waiting, is never easy. There is such a feeling of helplessness when we are forced into a situation in which we can’t do anything except wait! Waiting can be grueling whether you are sure of the outcome or not. We need someone or something to hold us secure while we wait. That someone is the One by whom all things consist and who holds all things together (see Col. 1:17). He is the One who brings the comfort and strength we need, even in the face of many stresses. One definition Webster’s Dictionary gives for “wait” is “look forward expectantly.” Those who wait upon the Lord stay in a place of confident expectation. We may not know what will happen tomorrow, but we know Who holds tomorrow. We must remember that we are not waiting simply for an outcome; we are waiting on the Lord. And waiting on Him—no matter how long the process seems to take—will have the best results. If we depend on the Lord and look forward in hope and expectation, He will renew our strength. We will not fear or lose heart. Don’t give in to fear because you don’t know what’s coming, turn away from it and begin to wait—look with expectation—upon the Lord. He can turn things around and work them for good even in the worst situations. He will give you the peace and strength to step boldly into your future with the confidence that He holds the future and His results are best. Renew your strength by waiting on the Lord and meditating on His goodness. Thank Him that He is all knowing and all-powerful, and we are secure in Him. Thank Him for His faithfulness and ever abiding comfort even during the hardest of times.  Learn to WAIT on The Lord!

Take a Step in #Faith –

faith is

Do you see how faith worked with his works, and from the works faith was made complete? (James2:22)~ you want change so you have faith and you ‘wait’ on the Lord because they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength (Isa 40:31) …and you ‘wait’ and you ‘wait’!!! Yes, all things are possible to him who believes and has faith; so as we believe, we just sit in our faith and think things will change. So after all that ‘waiting’, nothing happens, and now your faith in God dies! There is still no better answer to this than the fact that you have to GET UP! Keep in mind, those who had faith when Jesus walked; and even those before Him on the earth…all had an action corresponding to it (see Hebrews chapter 11). The woman with the issue of blood had faith, but didn’t just wait for Jesus to come touch her for her healing, she had to make her way through resistance that was keeping her from Him (the crowd – different story) and the effort of action in her faith made her whole;  Although Peter believed Jesus would have him walk on water, He didn’t sit there until Jesus whisked him out onto the water, no, it wouldn’t happen until Peter “got up” and stepped (in faith) out of the boat.  Jesus healed the infirmed man who had faith but sat there and waited (in faith) for 38 years only to find out that he simply had to “get up” and take up his bed to realize it. Friend, we all have healing and blessings in The Lord but our faith is just a belief until we take a step in it. Martin Luther King Jr is famous for saying that Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase. Yes, they that wait on The Lord renew their strength…that strength is to be USED to MOUNT UP with the wings of Eagles; to RUN the race set before us and to WALK in the paths of His righteousness, that we will NOT FAINT in adversity, but PROSPER and PERSEVERE! Christ has healed our spiritual diseases, let us GO wherever he sends us, and TAKE UP whatever he lays upon us. The proof of our spiritual cure is not just our belief, but our RISING and WALKING; in Him! What are you faithful for? When are you going to GET UP and take the step to get it?

Natural Born #Fool or Spirit Born #Saved? ->

Have you wondered why some people, even family and/or friends do not appreciate the things God has shown you in His word? Why are they not convicted like you about God and godliness? What would happen if you confronted them about Jesus Christ, coming judgment, and living a “following Christ” life? Would they accept you as a messenger of God’s word and echo your faith in Him; or would they reject your words and hate you.

What is the difference? You have hearing ears and seeing eyes – they do not. It is only by God’s free grace that we are given spiritual ears and eyes to hear and see the things of God. You received natural hearing and vision at your first birth; you receive spiritual hearing and vision at your second birth. Spiritual hearing and sight are much more important than physical. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor 2:14). Don’t be frustrated by people rejecting truth and wisdom, no matter how well you present it. Jesus and Paul met with the same response. The religious leaders of the Jews crucified Jesus, and they chased Paul around the Roman Empire until he was beheaded.

It’s like common sense; not everyone can comprehend what it means to have it and many that think they have it sure don’t live like they have it. This “spiritual sense” is more elusive to folks than even common sense.. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good (Ps 14:1). So, if you can hear or see the things of God today, give Him thanks, and run in the direction of that conviction, today! If you fear you are not born again, your duty is the same. Run to the Lord Jesus Christ, own Him as your Sovereign and only Hope, obey Him and pray for Him to lead you to others that have been born again.

The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God (Ps 14:2). Don’t be a natural born fool… but be born again in the Spirit and be saved!

#GodIs – (Insert Your Need Here) –

The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident (Ps 27:1-3)~ God is my revelation: He has shown me things I’ve never seen and thing I’ve already seen in ways I’ve never seen them; God is my salvation: He has brought me out of many situations – from death to life – from trial to triumph – from frustration to favor; God is my vindication: He makes the tactics of the enemy stumble and fall – without the need of action or retaliation from me – He declares His vengeance and guides me to simply abide in Him – trust in Him – worship Him; God is my preservation: He constantly keeps me when I should have fallen – He grants victory in the face of defeat – When one thing seems like it should be, God IS!; The Lord God is my stabilization: I will stand on the solid, steadfast, unmoveable foundation He provides. There is no instance that God cannot control, no pain He cannot soothe, no sorrow He cannot heal. One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple (Ps 27:4) ~ I will plain and simply and without question, trust, believe, love and take joy in Him!

#Focus on #Faith to the Finish

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth (Col 3:2); But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness (1 Tim 6:11)~ It ill becomes any person, but especially a person of God, to set their hearts upon the things of this world; people of God should be taken up with the things of God. There must be a conflict with corruption, and temptations, and the powers of darkness. Eternal life is the crown proposed for our encouragement and we are called to lay hold on that. As Heaven and Earth are contrary one to the other, both cannot be followed together; and affection to the one will weaken and remove affection to the other… after all, no man can serve two masters; he will love one and despise the other. And take caution to yourselves, watching out that at any time your hearts be over burdened with wreckless living and drunkenness, worries and cares of this life, and so that day comes upon you suddenly.  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man (Luke 21:34-36). Our danger is that the day of death and of judgment should come upon us when we are not prepared; that, when we are called to meet our Lord, that what will be the furthest from our thoughts, is that which ought to be nearest our hearts. This is unfortunately how it will come upon the most of men, who dwell upon the earth, and mind earthly things, and have no focus with heaven. There is so much going on around us right now and everywhere, people are constantly consumed with emotion and distracted by the happenings in the world. All of these things going on are distractions to take your mind off of the peace of God. Remember, the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Remember, He will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on Him! Don’t lose your focus on the Lord because He is the source of all peace and life and joy! Focus on Faith to the Finish!

Don’t Drift on Auto-Pilot – #Focus –

stay focusedLet thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil (Prov 4:25-27)~ Like a boat without propulsion, a lack of focus can cause us to drift. Our relationship with God, our marriages, our lives with our families, our careers. All of these areas that are typically the most important to us, but we, in our complacency just let things go on automatic while we focus on other things. There may not be obvious conflict or struggles, just subtle distractions that lull us ‘asleep’. We hardly notice we’re losing our “standing and foundation” until we end up somewhere we never intended to be. We must be intentional about the path these areas in our lives take. We must keep our hearts, minds and spirits focused on the Lord and His intent for us. Our relationships with God and our marriages and families and careers and each other; are areas where the enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy. Those little distractions become major issues if left unattended! Keep your heart with all diligence. Set a strict guard upon your soul your relationships and your values; keep your heart from doing hurt, and getting hurt. Relationships in all aspects.. how we interact with God and each other are key to achieving our destiny and should never just be left to ‘drift’ on their own as if ‘autopilot’ will get it done. These areas take work, diligence, commitment, perseverance, patience and dedication. Small course corrections can change your marriage, enhance relationships and strengthen resolve. But it requires focus! Above all, we should seek from the Lord Jesus; that living water, the sanctifying Spirit, issuing forth unto everlasting life. In Him, we shall be enabled to put away those fiery darts of the enemy; our eyes will be turned from beholding distractions, focused, dedicated, diligent and committed; and walking by the rule of God’s word, treading in the steps of Christ!
