I have to admit and #TakeAKnee – Jesus IS God! KNOW This People –

every-knee-shall-bow

A Relevant Repost – The case can’t be made enough times!

Overhearing a conversation recently, I heard someone say “Jesus is NOT God – KNOW This People”. Friends, this is the type of misleading message that we as Christians are called to answer to. I just wonder how many people heard that and agreed (yes, disturbing and I’ll tell you why in a minute). There are some questions I would have liked to ask that person about why they made that comment – but it’s clear to me that the Bible itself was not factor in the reasoning of that statement unless that person is intent on making the truth of the Word into a lie!

But let’s look at this Question: “Is Jesus God? Did Jesus ever claim to be God?”

The Bible never records Jesus saying the precise words, “I am God.” That does not mean, however, that He did not proclaim that He is God. Take for example Jesus’ words in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” We need only to look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement to know He was claiming to be God. They tried to stone Him for this very reason: “You, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was claiming—deity. When Jesus declared, “I and the Father are one,” He was saying that He and the Father are of one nature and essence.

John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth … before Abraham was born, I am!” Jews who heard this statement responded by taking up stones to kill Him for blasphemy, as the Mosaic Law commanded (Leviticus 24:14-16).  John reiterates the concept of Jesus’ deity: “The Word [Jesus] was God” and “the Word became flesh” (John 1:1, 14). These verses clearly indicate that Jesus is God in the flesh.

Acts 20:28 tells us, “Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. And this same verse declares that God purchased His church with His own blood. Therefore,Jesus is God!

Thomas the disciple declared concerning Jesus, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him.

Titus 2:13 encourages us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ (see also 2 Peter 1:1).

In Hebrews 1:8, the Father declares of Jesus, “But about the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.’” The Father refers to Jesus as “O God,” indicating thatJesus is indeed God.

In Revelation, an angel instructed the apostle John to only worship God (Revelation 19:10). Several times in Scripture Jesus receives worship (Matthew 2:1114:3328:917Luke 24:52John 9:38). He never rebukes people for worshiping Him.If Jesus were not God, He would have told people to not worship Him, just as the angel in Revelation did. There are many other passages of Scripture that argue for Jesus’ deity.

The most important reason that Jesus has to be God is that, if He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A finite created being, which Jesus would be if He were not God, could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death.

People – Study to shew thyself approved! There are many who would have you believe differently, turning the truth of God into a lie, justifying their own ways and unbelief with human rationalization and speaking to those with itching ears that would rather hear man’s doctrine than that of God’s truth! Nevertheless, at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ IS Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11)  Amen!

Life In The #Valley – Stop Sitting There and Build A Well! –

Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God (Ps 84:5-7)~ The “valley” is not a form of punishment by God for some past transgression! It is not a stroke of bad luck or ‘karma’ and it’s not some type of withholding of God’s blessing on your life. We all have valleys that we will go through – no life is without them. There is much to gain in God’s provisioning in the valley and these are places where wisdom is developed. As we trust God in the valley and use it to our advantage, He gives us the capacity to endure it (the well for the rain) and the wherewithal to overcome it (the rain for the well). Learn what the valley will teach you. The trials you face will be experiences for your strength and preparing you for where God is taking you. You are going through this to have a testimony.. It’s not promised to be easy; you can’t be stuck and tired and frustrated – sitting there doing nothing but “being”. When you ‘wait on the Lord’ in the valley, you have to grow from it. They that wait on the Lord shall “renew” their strength…that renewing is an ‘action’! You can’t just sit and wait. When you are weak in the valley, He is strength for you! You now have to ask “what is it God is wanting me to learn from all of this?” …and you have to actively seek Him and His provision…”build the well”! When you do this, he will give you the abundance of blessings IN THE VALLEY and what you need to go forward. What you learn in the valley you will use when God takes you to the next phase of your life and your destiny. Each of us has our ‘valley’ that answers to Him – that He will bring us through – but it starts with looking for the lessons you will learn in the valley and trusting in Him and being renewed out of the valley in His strength! You shall mount up on the wings of eagles- lifting you up in due time; you shall run and never be weary- never tiring from the abundance and strength He gives you; to walk through the valley and never faint – with the endurance and patience of eternity! Be Blessed!

#StayFaithful – Our Troubles Have Term Limits! –

I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life (Rev 2:9-10)~~ We seem to constantly go through trials and tribulations – finding ourselves in limiting and confining situations – being persecuted and prosecuted for our convictions. There are challenges seen and unseen that are working against us; a disingenuousness that is on a mission to steal us from the Truth that holds us up, kill our relationship with the Lord and destroy any chance at salvation that we may have. Times are really hard and seem to be getting harder. People are getting tired and discouraged and growing weary of the fight – even to do right because it seems like the world is just going its own way against God and winning on every front. But we should count it all joy – yes, it’s all good – because God knows what we’re dealing with …. He sees the darkness of the world around us. He is aware of the enemy that is in a constant mission to bring us down in the darkness of the world and God’s Word to us is to stay faithful! His dream for us is bigger than our discouragement (and His dream is His intent and will not be foiled). His assignment for us is bigger than the attack on us (and God won’t have us failing HIS assignment); His vision for us is bigger than the vindictiveness of those that work against us and His promise is indeed greater than the pain we’re dealing with so that our joy will certainly greater than their judgement! HIS will, no matter what, will be accomplished (Isa 55:11)!!! Knowing this, remember that in all the darkness, Jesus is the Light of the world! He is the source of our light and your salvation, and regardless of what’s out there, we should have no fear (Ps 27:1). We are to let that light shine through us… before the darkness of the world, that God may expose the forces against us and in HIS victory, be glorified (Matt 5:16). We may be in hard times but in Him we are rich. We may be tired but waiting on Him renews our strength (Isa 40:31) Keep being you, doing what you’re supposed to do and in due time you will reap the benefit (Gal 6:9). Keep doing good in even the worst of situations that seem to try to undermine your destiny and know that all things work together for GOOD to those that love God and are called to His purpose (Rom 8:28). What we begin to understand is that no matter what happens in life – good, bad or ugly, God has a way of taking it and using it for our good (Gen 50:20). So in all of the things that go on around us, don’t worry – God knows! Stay faithful – keep smiling, keep your head up and keep praising God because what you’re dealing with won’t last – your trouble has term limits and it is absolutely temporary – know that it’s almost over! Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning (Ps 30:5)… and the SON is rising!

Be Happy For Their Success; Don’t Be a Hater #NoH8 –

FullSizeRender

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth (James 3:14)~  Do a survey of what you have: your home, your family, your job, your friends, your church, your health…your life… Now, how happy are you with it all? What if you had what I have, would you be happier, more or less than you are now? Would I be any happier with yours?  Do you really even know? We won’t even talk money, cars and clothes because that’s just material. But God has blessed us with so much, yet we still find a reason to complain. People who are ambitious for themselves (it’s all about “them”) often become bitter against and envious of those who have succeeded or are further along. Rather than rejoice in or at least be truly happy for the blessing that has come upon the person, some people are jealous; they may believe they are godlier, humbler, wiser, more informed, more helpful, more truthful, and more deserving of a large platform, a level of achievement, a material gain or other blessing. Yes, we know them as haters! We all have probably been a hater at some point. But why does what one person has or appears to have versus what we have even matter? Why not look at what YOU are blessed with, rather than feeling disturbed about what someone else has…like you deserved it and they didn’t! In reaction, haters criticize and oppose, they fabricate opinionated reasoning (and yes, lie) to minimize the blessing and create the assumption that the blessed person was somehow undeserving or unworthy; all as they elevate their own position and distract from their delay of blessing or achievement in the process and simultaneously recruit agreeing followers – Sometimes the easiest way to make noise and promote oneself is to become the “public” critic of someone else.  But lift up the rock of irrational, overblown, unreasonable criticism and you will see the roach of jealousy scurrying away from the light of truth. Those who live in malice, envy and contention, live in confusion and are liable to be provoked and hurried to any evil work. It’s really okay to be happy for someone else’s achievement, blessing or placement in God’s plan for them. Rather than compare and complain about what someone else has, is or has done, why not focus on the plan God has for you? God has had an idea specifically for you since His decision to create you – Before He formed you in your mother’s womb, He specifically knew you and He knows the plans He has for you – plans for a hope and a future… If you will just concentrate on knowing Him and the power of His creation, the life and love He has in store for you…seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all of these things will be added unto you! Despite what the world tries to do to you… Or how it makes you feel to see another’s blessing…remember, you have the providence of God and all the promises of the Gospel. What God has for you it is for YOU! Don’t be a hater!

Find Joy in God’s Sufficient #Grace –

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls (1 Pet 1:6-9)~~ Ever wonder why God allows us to go through things? How many times have you asked Him in prayer why you have to endure these troubles; only to be reminded in revelation of the Word that His grace is sufficient for you (2 Cor 12:9)? There are trials that God may impose and there are definitely trials that He allows for us, all in His great will and sovereign determination, that we come forth in our best, our strongest and our most well defined character. See, adversity is not always a bad thing because it develops in us greatness, while also strengthening our faith. There are few better teachers than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss contains its own seed of an equal or greater benefit; its own lesson on preparing ourselves for the future time. Adversity demands perseverance and that perseverance is nurtured in faith; and all these things shape you into the person God intends you to be. They can give you a final form; a value and a self-esteem that is priceless. I personally have seen the results in my own life, of years of adversity. ..amid some gray hairs… (okay, quite a few), a strength and character of a man that God has created, formed and refined, that results in a praise so great in me that I cannot articulate my joy in Him. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Cor 12:9). Friend, don’t gripe in your adversity but instead look forward to the divine results He will soon reveal in you! Be blessed!

Waiting on the Lord? #MountUp – You’ve Got Some Running and Walking to Do!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isa 40:31)~~ Many of us say we are WAITING on the Lord… because we call it faith in Him. So we sit and we wait… and we sit and we wait…and we sit and we wait so long that we get tired of waiting! Now we’re tired and weak and weary… and what has happened to our faith? Now we’re discouraged because in all our faithful waiting, it seems that our blessing never came; but my friend, faith without works is dead! Not the kind of work that proves your faith, but the kind of work BY your faith. Isaiah says they that wait on The Lord RENEW their strength… that strength is also is replenised; relentless; tireless; to be USED to MOUNT UP with the wings of Eagles – that make you to GET UP and take you high above any circumstance; to RUN the race set before us and to WALK in the paths of His righteousness! I mean really, why would God give us all of this for us to just sit around waiting for something to happen only to faint in adversity and stress out in hopelessness and depression while not going anywhere in life??? We are given all these things that we may PROSPER, PROGRESS and PERSEVERE and have that life more abundantly like Jesus promised (John 10:10)! Christ has healed our spiritual diseases, that we may GET UP and GO wherever He sends us, and TAKE UP whatever He lays upon us. The proof of our spiritual cure is not just our belief, but our ACTIONS of MOUNTING UP and SOARING in that belief; in Him! C’mon Eagle- MOUNT UP and let’s GO in Faith!

Want a good #Relationship? Spend some time in it!-

relship-w-god

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Ps 1:2-3)~ Getting to KNOW the Lord is not done by just going to church on Sunday and reciting our prayers over meals and at bedtime. But the person who studies the Word “day and night” is the person that knows the benefit of having the Word in them. As surely as we need food for our bodies, and air for our lungs, we need the Word constantly feeding and giving refreshing breath to our souls. To focus on the Word is to focus on God; is to focus on becoming what He purposes for us. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1), so to study and know the Word and meditate on it is to do so with God and he who meditates (thinks deeply) on the Word (God) has that Word (God) become part of Him…For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he (Prov 23:7). This person knows that without the Word (God) they have no provision and in the Word (God) they live, move and have being! Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me (John15:4). There are those that think of you as some “strange being, wierdo or freak” for spending so much time in God but they clearly don’t understand or haven’t experienced the benefit of abiding in the Word, and having it abide in them. I see people all the time complaining about how their relationships are failing. But then I see them doing all kinds of things apart from the ‘relationship’ – claiming they need to ‘get away’ and spend time with themselves or their friends or doing other things!! Ponder the question: if you’re married but you spend all of your time doing everything but putting into that marriage, how can that marriage thrive?? If you had an interest in a significant other, wouldn’t you spend time with them, getting to know them better each day; to have a good relationship with them? Then why not God from whom all good things flow? You feel like you need to get closer to God so you plan on going to church Sunday – # of days from now! What about praying today? What about studying the Word now? What about turning off rap and reality TV and spending time in Revelation? The point? That I may KNOW Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead (Phil 3:10-11). You know who God is and you believe in Him and even love Him, but do you KNOW Him?
