God’s #Grace is Enough to Make You Good Enough! ~

For BY GRACE are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Eph 2:8-9)~ Sin is the death of the soul. A man dead in trespasses and sins has no desire for spiritual pleasures. As we come to realize the nature and severity of our sins, we are thrown into an endless cycle of disappointment when we realize that we, no matter how much we resolve to repent, cannot meet the standards of holiness God demands. One of the worst feelings is when you are doing your best yet you know that what you do is not good enough for the One that matters! No matter how well we do what we do, our own guilty conscience simply reminds us of our failures! But oh devil, you are a LIE! See, WHILE we were sinners – with our dead souls, Jesus covered the wages of our sin and died for us; His unselfish and ultimate act of grace. The grace that saves is the free, undeserved goodness and favor of God; and He saves, not by the works of the law, nor by the penance of man, but through faith in Christ Jesus. His grace to our soul is new life to our soul. Regenerated, we become a living soul; to live a life of holiness, through being born of God; being delivered from the guilt of sin, by pardoning and justifying grace. Our faith, our conversion, and our eternal salvation, are not of our self-promoting  frivolous efforts, that we would find glory in our own vain achievements; no, all boasting is shut out. Instead, it is the free gift of God, and the effect of being quickened by His power. It was His purpose, to which He prepared us, by blessing us with the knowledge of His will, and His Holy Spirit producing such a change in us, that we should glorify God by our good conversation, and perseverance in holiness. When we realize what He has already told us, that we can’t on our own meet His standards, we turn our dependence to Him and accept and trust His grace to be our saving measure! Rather than the act of trying to do something to oppose the sin, His work, not ours, diminishes the impact of desire for that sin.. HE changes us… by His grace, we are that we are.

Stop Using #Stress As A Status Symbol! ~

Be Anxious For Nothing… (Phi 4:6)~

“I’m stressed” seems to be a pretty standard greeting these days, much like, “I’m busy.” And if we’re honest, we can often use our stress as a source of pride. Saying we’re stressed can make us feel important because even though we may not like the feeling stress gives us, we like the status boost it brings.

In our fast-paced culture, stress is seen as the norm. It’s losing its negative connotations and has instead become associated with hard work, ambition, and success. We assume successful people are stressed people, so we strive harder. And a lack of stress can make us feel lazy or unmotivated.

The result? We’re constantly trying to do more and be more, which brings—you guessed it—more stress. We’re overcommitted because we can’t say no; we’re settling for superficial connections online instead of carving time for meaningful conversation; and we’re building stress into our identities.

But stressed-out, maxed-out lives are not what God had in mind for us. Jesus said that our enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. That seems extreme, but stress can steal from us. It steals sleep. It steals happiness. It steals our mental capacity. And all the busyness that fuels our stress could leave us so distracted by the small stuff in life that we miss out on the big plans God has for us.

In contrast, Jesus said He came to bring us life and life to the full. Jesus came bringing peace and abundance, which is the opposite of a stressed (or drawn tight) kind of life.

So it’s time to reevaluate our stress. Let’s stop giving stress power. Let’s stop using it as a bragging right. Instead, let’s use a lack of stress as an opportunity to stand out, to be different, and to share our faith.

When the world around us is drowning in stress, we will choose to stay calm, be still, and remember that God is God. When others constantly compete and compare with one another, we’re going to celebrate and cheer for one another. When other people are overwhelmed and hopeless, we will be people who carry such hope that unbelievers look on and ask us why we have the hope that we have.

We can find freedom from our stress when we stop giving it power and start turning toward the source of all power—our God. So let’s stop living in stress and instead take Jesus at His Word and live full lives.

Lost In The Craziness From Day To Day? #TryGod And Find The Way! ~

It’s SO important it is that we learn to cast all our cares upon the Lord. But can the Lord handle all that . . . would He even WANT to handle our little issues… with each of the Christians around the world casting their cares upon Him on the same day…at the same time…constantly and continuously? Can He take care of all those things? Is our issue even important to Him that He would consider us? How many calculations can He handle in His head at one time?

All questions that probably go through our mind every time we feel the desire or need to go to the Lord in prayer! But friend, those are all seeds of doubt that the enemy wants you asking because if he can get you to doubt just how much God cares for you, he knows you’ll just stop going to the Lord and try to figure out your own way and … BAM!

So here’s one final question… is anything too hard for God???

Understand this – There’s NO limit to what God can handle. There’s NOTHING you can’t ask of Him! EACH of us is important to Him. And as EACH of us cries out to Him, looking to Him in time of need and trouble, He is able to handle all of that . . . and INFINITELY more.

And THIS is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing “according to His will”, He heareth us: And if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him (1 John 5:14-15). Do you like to just talk into the air? Or do you like to talk when you know someone is listening? God is listening when we pray. He wants to hear us pray, and He wants us to pray in the realm of His will. He wants us to pray about those things which are important to us: that we would bring our cares to Him and cast them at His feet, leaving them there and trusting in Him. He said that if we would do this, committing our way unto Him, then He would bring it to pass. He’s assuring us of an answer.

Things do trouble us. But we all have to learn how to take hold of the Word of God, letting it be used and made manifest in our lives, where we’re ever committing our way unto the Lord: every day, in every thing, committing our way to the Lord.

Do you get up in the morning and hurry off to work? Wouldn’t it be better to stop before you leave home and commit your way unto the Lord? There’s your answer! God’s Word would tell you this is the way. Try it; it will make the day change so completely! Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass (Ps 37:4-5)…

Thankful For A Mercy That Endures #Forever ~

O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good; God of gods; Lord of lords; who alone doeth great wonders; that by wisdom made the heavens; that stretched out the earth above the waters; that made the sun to rule by day; the moon and stars to rule by night. O give thanks to Him who remembered us in our low estate; And hath redeemed us from our enemies; Who giveth food to all flesh; O give thanks unto the God of heaven for HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER! (From Ps 136)~~ God’s very being is absolute GOOD! He does not merely do good nor does He simply demand it from others; rather He IS good. No deed or motivation originates with Him that does not exist as an expression of generous goodness! His every action and impulse are profoundly good. My favorite part about this all is that God’s goodness does not have an expiration date! His love does not reach some moment where we discover that it has been finally exhausted. While we are fickle and faithless; becoming tired of doing good because of what we may perceive as a lack of reciprocal benefit, God is steadfast, unflinching, consistent and always pressing toward the ones on whom the eyes of love have been set (Yes, US)!! In this world where everything seems in flux and unreliable, God’s love is absolutely, surely and infinitely true and stable. As we look over the seasons of our lives, our joys and sorrows are made right and are in an unending abundance of grace! We should be always encouraged and assured that God is with us! His love will never diminish for us or abandon us. HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER!

Imagine What We Would Find If We Seek #GodFirst ~

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matt 6:33)~ Thoughtfulness for our souls is the best cure of thoughtfulness for the world. So many of us are focused on worldly gain; materialistic profit; Hierarchicial stature. We take pride in worldly possession but have no interest in our lot in eternity. What profit is there for us to gain the world and lose our soul? Seek first the kingdom of God, and make the cares of your eternal soul your business: it is the way to be well provided for, even in this world. Jesus said “He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” The life we seek of this world and find comes in the midst of much worrying, wonerding, doubting and struggle and will be lost; but to put aside the life of this world, seeking Him in faith, hope, trust and most importantly, love, will not only provide for us here on Earth but set our destination to His presence in eternity. It is the will and command of the Lord Jesus, that by daily prayers we may get strength to bear us up under our daily troubles, and to arm us against the temptations and cares of the world, and then let none of these things move us. Happy are those who take the Lord for their God, and make full proof of it by trusting themselves wholly to His wise provision. Seek the world and we find the world. Seek the Lord and we find eternity which gives us in and above the world!

Thinking About Giving Up? #Think On These Things! ~

Keep giving God your “yes” while He works out your mess. Be not weary in well doing. .for in DUE SEASON … HIS due season you shall reap if you faint not.

Feel like giving up? Think on THESE things:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deut. 31:6

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Eph. 6:10

The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. Psalm 28:7

I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only. Psalm 71:16

But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. I Cor. 9:24

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, Heb. 12:1

Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. Zech. 4:6

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. II Tim. 1:7

It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. Psalm 18:32

Yes! Things Are Tough! But #Wait ~

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isa 40:31); Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord; But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 58,57)~ Sometimes I feel like I’m spinning my wheels on things in life and get nowhere. In fact I get so frustrated from all of the challenges that I even get to the point of throwing my hands up and saying ‘why even try anymore’. Then God answers “My word will not return to me void…” and for some reason, “tired” is not an option! That reassurance is the renewing of strength that I needed! Friend, God promises that your efforts are paying off and that you will reap what you sow! Thank Him for what He’s already done and that in Christ you have the victory. Your efforts are simply the manifestation of His word that will do as He has intended! Stay in the battle.. Don’t quit just because it gets tough! The work you do after it gets tough is the work that will get you across the line to success! Tired is not an option when it comes to the Lord and HE will be your strength and buckler!

#TGIF – Thank God I’m Free ~ Because of the Truth! ~

Jesus said to him, “ I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life…(John 14:6); And you shall know the TRUTH, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32); If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36); ~ Ever get caught up in a LIE? What happens when you’re caught up in a lie? That lie holds you captive and you as long as you hold onto that lie, it will hold onto you, enslaving you to propagate more lies, destroying relationships and ruining lives. The devil IS a lie, he is the father of lies… and he comes to kill, steal and destroy by holding you captive in that lie and enslaving you to the longevity and life of that lie! Although God, by the TRUTH of Christ and the abundant life of His promise has declared you free, What holds you in captivity and slavery will not let you go easily! This satanic resistance is a result of the enemy’s own fear because of your relationship with God. Yes, the enemy fears the state of its own existence without the ability to be able to oppress and suppress you – because your blessing, the TRUTH, is a threat to the enemy. When you walk in the TRUTH that God has declared, you are free from the lie of the enemy; you break the bondage of the lie; and the enemy knows it. Therefore you will always be in a resistive state…a fight with sin, with your flesh, with your old lies, with your old ways and mindsets, with the enemy – especially when you realize that God has declared you free! But know that God also will work out what is needed to guarantee that freedom He has declared …Whatever has gone wrong, God will make it right! He ensures your Spiritual freedom by His divine intervention; Yes, it’s true… the battle is His! And your Favor will be evident in the sight of the enemy… even making those lies that enslave you… your footstool through TRUTH! When you let go of that lie, it has to let go of you! That which held you back will be forced to promote you. That lie which enslaved you will be forced to concede to the TRUTH and echo the Word of the Lord and declare you free!

Why Should We Be Thankful? #Thanksgiving2018 ~

O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy (Ps 107:1-2)~~ As we focus on what we’re thankful for this week, let us not forget to be thankful that God is all about our good. We should be thankful that where people may have wrath on us and prefer our suffering and demise, HIS will upon us is mercy for our good. Be thankful that in His grace, the rules toward our infractions are pre-empted… He holds back what we deserve. Be thankful that rather than imposing the consequences of what we do, in His MERCY renders us righteous. Let us be thankful that when we are being ridiculous and only concerned about ourselves, focused on what we have, what we do and what we want.. even when we are turning our back to Him and committing our atrocities, His grace and mercy ENDURES our iniquities; yet “while” we were sinners, Christ died for us. Let us be thankful because although we are all “prodigal sons”, God allows to return to Him regardless of our state of affairs when we left or how long it’s been since we left or how we are when we come back. ..yes, His mercy endures FOREVER. Be thankful that It’s never too late to call upon Him! We are all redeemed in Him and by Him! As we celebrate Thanksgiving today and are in a mindset of gratitude, let us remain mindful of God’s grace and His desire for our good…and for that, He is worthy of and due our praise! As you reflect on why you should be thankful, remember that you are God’s treasure, fearfully and wonderfully made and He adores you! Now! Let us Give Thanks to the Lord for He is good and HIS mercy ENDURES FOREVER. Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh Give Thanks Unto The Lord… #Thanksgiving ~

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Ths 5:18)~~ God has given us reasons time and time again to give Him thanks, and this is what we must do. We are living in a time of great anxiety, but He has offered us a way out of anxiety. We may know His loving care. There is no one so good, so high, so holy, and so merciful as God. We are thankful that He has invited us to bring our petitions and our requests to Him. Who else can we go to for wisdom, or for hope, or for guidance? We are thankful for peace that proceeds from His forgiveness, the wholeness that comes from His restorative touch. We are thankful for His creating a world He called “good.” We thank Him that despite the evil that has entered the world and still wages war in our own souls, His goodness is undiminished. We thank Him that we have seen honor that is bolder than shame…mercy that is wider than cruelty…truth that is straighter than deception…faith that is stronger than treachery…hope that is deeper than desperation. We thank Him for the ordinary things: the bread we receive, the breath by which we live. And we thank Him for the extraordinary things: the strength we didn’t know was possible, and the discovery of truths we didn’t know. We thank Him for the immeasurable grace shown to us in the coming of Jesus Christ, the hope of the world. Be thankful today for each other and the blessings you have… In all things today, give thanks In His Name.
