It is of the Lord ‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lam 3:22-23)~~ Why did God only give us a limited number of days on the earth when He could have let us live here for eternity? We know the implications of sin meant that we became spiritually dead to God and we would now experience death and our bodies would return to the ground from which they came (Gen 3:19). Now we are limited in our days so that we may realize just how precious each day is that we have. God was gracious to give us THIS day. Today we have another chance. We need to start, go through and finish the day at our best! Be very specific throughout this day in everything you do! Finish what you start and don’t give up on what God gave you! Don’t focus on being better than the next person… focus on being a better YOU than you were yesterday. When you do this, the surprise is this…. You never ever get to the best you can be… Why? Because when you keep working on being a better you, tomorrow you just might achieve that breakthrough to being better than you were today… But you’ll never know if you settle for where you finished the last time you tried. Friend, realize just how blessed you are to be here today and think about what that really means! Until you leave this earth, you have an opportunity today and each day to do better than you did yesterday. Make sure that you make the most of each day because once they’re gone…it’s forever… You can’t repeat them and you can’t hold on to them…but each day you get new mercies for new opportunities, new blessings and new chances to experience a better life than the day before. So I ask you my friend: How will you walk in the grace you have received today? Praise The Lord!
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding (Prov 3:5); My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding: That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge (Prov 5:1-2)~~ Friend, do you look to the Word of God for His wisdom; for His counsel? Or do you ‘Got this’? Do you see the Bible as an ancient, old and outdated book that ‘church folk’ cling to or do you have sense enough to know He knew better in advance of your intelligence? After all, He was God before you were born! In relationship with God, there are some things we must understand: There is much to be gained from that relationship. A relationship with our Father, confronts our lives; tells us of our errors, warns us of coming danger, and gives us strong advice to avoid trouble. We hate to be confronted, but without it, the coming pain and shame for us will far outweigh any discomfort we feel now. God knows far more than we do, no matter how accomplished and self-reliant we might be. We are created in His image, but we are not by any means His equal – we are infants in comparison. God’s Word is specific and direct, without apology or compromise and we must respect His superior wisdom. It is pride to disregard God’s order and neglect the teaching of His Word because we think we can handle life by our own hand. We must get a hold of this distinction. God is GOD! Listen to Him! Study and heed His Word! He knew what He was doing long before creation and knew every situation that would or could arise! Yes, He IS God long before you were created (grammatically it doesn’t make sense, but you know). He knows more about life than you will ever experience. He has an interest in your eternity, which you are not presently able to appreciate. Sit down. Be still. Pay attention. See His salvation! God in Heaven is our Father by creation, and again by salvation in Christ. He knows more than we will ever learn on any subject by a factor called infinite. We must humble ourselves, despite our own thoughts. Love the hearing of His Word and follow every sentence. HIS wisdom, IS wisdom!
And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him (Luke 15:17-20)~ No matter how far anyone has wandered away from God, no matter how deep we have gone into sin, whenever we turn around… (definition of repent), God is right there to receive us with open arms! God doesn’t care what we’ve done in our past! He only cares about what we’re doing right now and what we will do in our future! Thanks to the finished work of Jesus, no one ever has to be lost because of their past sins. We are only lost because we will not surrender (stop), repent (turn around), and accept (go back to) what Jesus has done for us.
If you have strayed away in your life, just stop, turn around and come back to the Lord! YES, it’s that simple…no working it off, earning forgiveness or proving yourself worthy! Christ has done the work, by Grace He has forgiven us. We in our guilt tend to feel like we’re not worthy of His grace, but the devil is a LIE!!! My friend, we’re SO worthy that Jesus gave His life to prove it! YOU are restored in relationship and covenant; redeemed of everything that separated you and reconciled to FULL authority and inheritance as a child of the Lord! God is eagerly awaiting you and will see you from Heaven as soon as you start to return to Him and He will draw you back to Him and meet you on the way – and what a meeting that is! Don’t stay away friend! God has the light from Heaven focused on you – waiting for you to turn and come Home! Just Come on Back!
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest (Josh 1:7) – Be confident in God’s work in you! Don’t be swayed or disturbed due to naysayers or lack of understanding; nor be arrogant or overzealous from pride and self-absorbance; but be humble yet assertive, that your Walk in Authority be God appointed! For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Eph 2:10).
God CREATED us to be strong and successful, with AUTHORITY. Not luck nor chance, not by our own doings, but by His grace we are what we are! Man born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble (Job 14:1). It is just part of life that we will have trials, challenges and opposers. But be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee (Deut 31:6). God promises us over and over again that there shall be no one who can stand before us and dispute His will for our lives. In other words He’s got our back…and if God is for us, WHO can be against us??? Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest (Josh 1:9). Look, it’s not an option.. It’s a ‘command’!
God says that we need not be afraid or worry..He’s with us! It’s gonna be tough sometimes, but He’s holding us up! People will oppose you and turn against you…but HE will never leave you out to dry and in fact: The Lord said, Behold, there is a place by Me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while My glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with My hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts (Ex 33:21-23).. God will set you in a place where you will experience His greatness, be covered from His wrath and as He allows you to go forward, know that in waiting on Him you can be assured that He has gone before you.
So no, you are never alone; don’t doubt what He has created in you; but stay grounded and focused… go get your blessing, though come what may; trusting Him all the way! God is going before you, standing with you AND…. He’s got your back!
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Cor 4:16-17)~ Friends and even family may forsake us. Enemies seem to prosper over us. Life might kick us in the “butt”! We may lose much for the Lord, but we shall not lose any thing by Him. Whether the Lord gives us health and temporal blessings or not, if we patiently suffer according to his will, in the end we shall be happy. This struggle is real but it’s only temporary. Every single day you get a new beginning, with new mercies and new blessings. You just have to trust in God and Persevere the process! No matter what it looks like, seek His direction. Let this be your strength: “So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning” (Job 42:12). Yes my friend It WILL get better! Just keep living!!
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us
I have set the Lord always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved (Ps 16:8)~ When we hurt, we focus on the pain; when we’re at a loss, we focus on what is not there; when something’s wrong, we focus on it. Where does this really have a positive impact? One of the great human strengths is our ability to impact or be impacted by what we focus on. So WHY focus on pain, things that are amiss or things that are going wrong. Why target difficult times and allow them to shake us? What if we were to focus on God’s help in difficult times, His presence that keeps us safe and gladdens our hearts? What if we fixed our attention on Him rather than our problems? What if day and night we stuck with God? From Jesus, we have received the promise of his continual presence: “I am with you always, even to the end of the world” (Matt. 28:20). So there is never a question of whether the Lord is with us or not. But there is a question about whether we fix our attention on this wonderful reality or not. How easy it is for us to live as if God is distant. How easily we focus our minds on our problems and challenges, forgetting to keep the Lord before our eyes. When we choose to live in light of the truth of God’s persistent presence, then we will be reassured against difficult times. We will not be shaken by the inevitable disappointments and detours of life. We will stand firm in the midst of opposition and suffering. We will find the strength to press on in service to God as we live for His kingdom in this world. Instead of focusing on your problems and keeping them in front of you; keep aware of God’s presence today! Set the Lord before you continually! It’s easy to say “Praise the Lord when life is good, but will you remember Him when life gets hard?? Set your mind on things above, not on things on earth (Col 3:2); Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee (Isa 26:3) – Fix Your Focus on Faith till the Finish!
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Ths 5:18)~~ God has given us reasons time and time again to give Him thanks, and this is what we must do. We are living in a time of great anxiety, but He has offered us a way out of anxiety. We may know His loving care. There is no one so good, so high, so holy, and so merciful as God. We are thankful that He has invited us to bring our petitions and our requests to Him. Who else can we go to for wisdom, or for hope, or for guidance? We are thankful for peace that proceeds from His forgiveness, the wholeness that comes from His restorative touch. We are thankful His for creating a world He called “good.” We thank Him that despite the evil that has entered the world and still wages war in our own souls, His goodness is undiminished. We thank Him that we have seen honor that is bolder than shame…mercy that is wider than cruelty…truth that is straighter than deception…faith that is stronger than treachery…hope that is deeper than desperation. We thank Him for the ordinary things: the bread we receive, the breath by which we live. And we thank Him for the extraordinary things: the strength we didn’t know was possible, and the discovery of truths we didn’t know. We thank Him for the immeasurable grace shown to us in the coming of Jesus Christ, the hope of the world. Be thankful today for each other and the blessings you have… In all things today, give thanks In His Name.
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before Him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness (1 Chr 16:29); O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever. And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised The Lord (1 Chr 16:34-36)~ man will throw a party and celebrate just about anything … we will create holidays and let the world know of our galas! If only we put that same effort of excitement into Him that truly sustains us! Let us show our celebration of The Lord! Let God be glorified in our praises. Let others be edified and taught, that strangers to Him may be led to adore Him. Let us ourselves triumph and trust in God. Those that give glory to God’s name are allowed to glory in it. Let the everlasting covenant be the great matter of our joy and praise. Let us be mindful of His promise and take joy in offering Him praise. Let God’s former mercies to His people of old, be remembered by us with thankfulness to Him. We have reason to celebrate Him from day to day; for we daily receive the benefit, and it is a subject that can never be exhausted. Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known his deeds among the people (1 Chr 16:8). Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. (Ps 150:6)
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name (Ps 100:4)~ Yes, God’s presence has a gate. But you have the keys to enter freely: thanksgiving and praise. When you praise God, It shows you TRUST Him. It shows that you BELIEVE His promises to carry you through; you focus on His proven character and His faithfulness to His promises. Praise demonstrates that we put more trust in God’s promises than in our problems, and that is faith. And our Lord responds to faith! How does He respond? Well, we believe that in Him, our victory is already done.. When we praise Him, show our trust and faith and truly believe and are thankful to Him for what we have faith in, blessing His name, He clears our vision of those things that hinder us…saying “Behold, I am doing a new thing, it shall spring forth, do you not see it? (Isa 43:19)” then, it all becomes clear to us! Do you want clarity of what God has already done? Then PRAISE HIM and believe Him today! Of course, you don’t HAVE to enter by the gate. You can stand stubbornly outside the walls, hoping to get God’s attention by the volume of your whining and complaining about what you see is wrong in your life. The more you remind God of what ‘is not’ in your life, the more you are denying what He says ‘IS’. No wonder He seems so quiet…you don’t even believe…and your complaining shows it! Have you ever thought that the trial He’s ALLOWING in your life might just be an exercise to get your focus on Him? Where is your FAITH??? If you want His attention, stop complaining and start praising Him and thanking Him for who He is and what He has already set in eternity for you. So are you ready to “see” it? Then start praising!
