So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever.” Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated (2 Chr 20:20-22)~~ Praise is used in those battles that we experience that are not carnal, but spiritual! It is a child of God’s weapon. Used in every circumstance and as you praise Him, no matter what comes against you, you will have victory over it.
Praise is that honor that expresses your trust in Him and that thing He has already done. It has many forms and few limitations — we praise God by the extending of hands; by Singing; we praise And honor Him in kneeling and bowing in prayer; we celebrate in faithful praise what God has done prior to actually seeing it; we lift our hands in absolute surrender to His will; we Worship and praise Him with instruments; we Shout, making a joyful noise to Him; we praise in clapping and applause to Him and we dance before Him in honor!
Let no person nor rule nor etiquette nor policy nor thing nor circumstance hinder your praise! Anyone who tells you that outward praise is improper hasn’t read their Bible! Psalm 150 sums it up! Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
How do we get through? In Victory, in Faith, in Him? We PRAISE THE LORD!!!
Praise! It’s What We Do!
