The Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him (Isaiah 30:18)~~ God WANTS you to grow closer to Him, to be filled with His love and peace, because He longs for what is best for you. God has always had you and His plan for you in mind, even before you were brought into existence (Jer 1:5); and His plan for you involves great things concerning you (Jer 29:11). This plan for YOU means so much to God that He sent His son to make sure it happens. Jesus revealed it Himself: …”I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). Although God works on your behalf, He wants you to desire Him, to seek Him and respond to Him, showing a willingness to share your life with Him. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart (Jer 29:12-13). It is God’s desire for you that you wait on Him, look for Him, desire Him with all your being! What a treasure He is to be found of us…greater than anything the world can produce. He will give us, not the expectations of our fears, nor the expectations of our fancies, but the expectations of our faith; the end result He has promised, which will be the best for us. The abundance of life in Him throughout our current state and the eternity of life in and with Him without expiration. Yes, God WANTS to bless us; not that we would have material riches but according to HIS riches and glory we would have a quality of life and love that proceeds beyond the benefit of anything material or tangible. And don’t worry… God is not wondering IF He can handle this one; Your need will not cause God to file for bankruptcy; and nothing can separate you from His love – God loves you and chose you before you chose Him; indeed God loves you more than anyone ever could… To know the Lord in this fashion – let this be our ultimate desire for Him as He desires so much more for us! That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. (Phi 3:10-11) – The Lord wants YOU – Do you want Him?
