I Cannot Come Down; #Focus with #Perseverance –

stay focused

Now it came to pass, when it was reported to Sanballat and Tobiah, and to Geshem the Arabian, and unto the rest of our enemies, that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though even unto that time I had not set up the doors in the gates;) that Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief. And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down:why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you? And they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner (Neh 6:1-4)…And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in (Neh 6:11) ~~ When God appoints you to a good work, the enemy goes on the attack to keep you from succeeding. The more you accomplish in God’s name, the more intense things get against you. The enemy will try to distract you; then will try to slander and make you look bad for doing what you do; then will try to make you fearful that you will sway from what you are called to do…You then will experience your greatest attack when you’re closest to being done with the work to which you are appointed. But you must persevere in faith! We have good work to do, and must not neglect or step away from it. Place value on the good work that you do – -and directly declare to stay focused and let nothing distract you until you are complete. We must never give ourselves in to be overcome, no matter what the repeated urgency, to do anything sinful or imprudent; but when attacked with the same temptation, must resist it with the same reason and resolution. It is common for that which is desired only by the malicious, to be falsely represented by them as desired by the many.  We must never omit any known duty for fear it should be misconstrued; but, while we keep a good conscience, let us trust God with our good name. Don’t subscribe to the rumors and don’t lose faith to the success of what you are called to do. When we become afraid of a consequence, real or false, we stand back as if we don’t know what to do, even when we are given a clear vision. Clarity of vision only tells us what must be done. Fear will cause you to freeze and not finish. We must be of good courage and trust in the strength, wisdom and the hand that God gives us. Remember, God doesn’t call those that are equipped… Noah, Moses and Abram were “regular” people with imperfections just like me and YOU, But they went on to do great things because they trusted in one truth: God equips those that are called. Persevere and be resilient; Keep your faith; keep your focus; to the finish. When someone or something tries to pull you away from God’s calling on your life, just tell them “I cannot come down”.
