God’s #Grace IS the Law –

law-and-grace

I believe what the Word says in that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work (2 Tim 3:16-17).  It doesn’t matter if it’s in RED letters (words of Jesus) or black letters in the Bible, the WHOLE Bible is the inspired Word of God. It’s erroneous to say that if Jesus didn’t say it or specifically address it that it’s up for debate or alternative interpretation! It is said that the Old Testament represents the “Law” and the New Testament represents the Grace of Jesus Christ and that since we are under Grace according to Romans 6:14, we are not subject to the law because Jesus did away with the law. But Jesus said: “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to “fulfill”. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled (Matt 5:17-18). That means that Jesus’ intent was that the “Law” be not only upheld, but actually fulfilled! To “Fulfill” means to bring to completion or reality – and that’s what Jesus is doing – every portion of ‘Grace’ fulfills the Law. Every promise made in those 66 books did, does or will come true as it is written! And just for clarity by the way, under Grace we as believers in faith are not subject to SIN under the law! Under the law there were the 10 commandments; under Grace the 10 commandments are “fulfilled” in Jesus’ two great commandments: to love God and love others (Matt 22:37,39)! Don’t be one to turn the truth of God into a lie just to justify yourself! His Grace IS the Law!
