And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying: ‘By those who come near Me, I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified… (lev 10:3)~~ No past sins can bar our acceptance with the Lord, if we humble ourselves before Him, believing in Him as the Christ, the Savior of the world. It concerns us all, when we come to God, to do every religious exercise, as those who believe that the God with whom we have to do, is a holy God. We cannot come to God, unless we believe that He is what He has revealed Himself to be in the Scriptures. Those who would find God, must seek Him with ALL their heart. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding (Prov 3:5). Man’s pretending to forbidden knowledge, and seeking things too high for him, are owing to pride of heart. You can’t go before God with pride in your heart. Surely THAT will have to be removed! The “incense” of our prayers must be, by FAITH, put into the hands of our Lord Jesus, the great High Priest of our profession, or else we cannot expect it to be accepted by God! But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Heb 11:6).
